I didn't get to see my grandparents that much when I was growing up.  It makes me happy to realize that Emberly has seen them more in her five years than I did in my first 20+.  They're some of my favorite people.  Our last visit was especially precious because my dad, "step" family, and aunt and uncle all came out too.

L.A. Summers

L.A. summers are perfect for lunch at Chabelitas, cocktails with lovely friends, silly Hello Kitty glasses and gorgeous weddings.

Lake Mead

If I'm honest, I prefer the view of the lake from the trails as ran during the Six Tunnels half marathon.  Up close, it's rather unimpressive.  Gross even.
But the bbq was good and the kids had fun.  Hopefully no intestinal parasites were ingested.
