"Loft"
KB Homes generously calls the large landing atop our stairs a "loft." We are using the space as a little mini office area, but I think it can be customized so much more to maximize the space.
Of course, as always, I have such "lofty" ideas, but teeny tiny wallet. I found this office space in a guest room clicking around decorpad. I'd really love to do something similar, just a bit smaller; floating shelving, "L" shaped desk. Awesome.
