Costume Changes

I may have set a personal record for number of outfits worn in one day on Saturday.
My day started like this, pretty much crowded out of bed because I was trying to keep my early risers from waking our guests early on the first day.

But our youngest guest actually woke up first and so they got some pajama play while we waited for everyone else to wake up.

First I took Jill, Amy and Sam and the kids to Border Grill @ Mandalay Bay. {I love you, chilaquiles} And I just wore shorts and a tank top.
Then we had Damon's cousin's wedding @ Paris and Bally's.  I belted (Damon calls it my "shim-shim" belt) a blazer over the silk shantung maxi dress I made this summer.

I don't think I mentioned that Damon had ALL FOUR wisdom teeth pulled last week and was in pretty rough shape.  He was icing his cheeks/jaw with anything cold he could get his hands on.
But he still had enough swelling to look kinda chubs LOL

We tried to convince Emberly to take a picture next to this ape at a shop in the walkway from Paris to Bally's...

But she was just too afraid.  Ever since she was frightened by a Halloween decoration at Lowes a few weeks ago, she's been extra chicken.  So she and I just took a photo at the fountain.

And, after the kids went to bed came the adult fun.

I wanted to take them to the Cosmopolitan because I think it's quite possibly the prettiest casino resort in Las Vegas.

It's chic, rather than the typical vegas gaudy.  We decided that we were more in the mood to talk and catch up than dance so we were going to chill at the Queue Bar.

But then Amy became intrigued with the hoopla and buzz around the escalator up to their nightclub, Marquee.  So in we went.  Shoe selection was not made with dancing in mind so we weren't in there for too long.  But I did discover a room I hadn't seen the first time where they weren't playing house {I personally prefer shaking the bun-buns to hip-hop, since I don't carry glo-sticks around ;) }.  And we met a few Chicago Bull's players down there before we called it a night.  Fun times.
